things are not always what they seem

we are funny. funny in how we contradict ourselves all the time. funny in how we can easily condemn other people but forget ourselves. funny in how we complain about how bad things are being done by other people but yet we're not doing anything to improve ourselves.

funny how we enumerate our own goodness, desperate for others' approval. and then when we get it, pontificate about how other people are not like us

it's amazing, how we can claim so many beliefs, talk about the books we've read, and then actually believe our own self delusions.
